Value Partners (UK) Limited, the UK subsidiary of Hong Kong-based independent asset management firm Value Partners Group, has announced the appointment of Thomas Legendre as the new associate head of its EMEA business. According to them, this appointment is effective immediately.

Legendre joined Value Partners in October 2020, and works alongside David Townsend, Managing Director of Value Partner for the EMEA business in London. In his new role, he will continue to support the team in London, while helping the Group expand its distribution capabilities, especially in Switzerland.

According to the manager, his new responsibilities will be to work with private banks, family offices, private wealth managers and financial institutions to identify the most appropriate Value Partners investment solutions for their needs in China and Asia. He will travel regularly from London to financial centres such as Basel, Geneva, Lausanne and Zurich to meet with clients and help them through this process.

Commenting on the appointment, David Townsend, Managing Director, Value Partners EMEA Business, said: "On behalf of Value Partners, I sincerely congratulate Thomas on his well-deserved promotion to Associate Director. Thomas has consistently demonstrated extraordinary dedication and expertise in driving our business forward. We are confident that in his new role, Thomas will continue to excel and play a pivotal role in our continued success across the EMEA region."

Thomas Legendre, Associate Director EMEA Value Partners, said: "This is an important milestone in my career. I am grateful for the trust and support the company and my colleagues have placed in me, and I look forward to continuing to generate value on behalf of clients and foster the growth of Value Partners across the EMEA region. The Asia region offers significant diversification opportunities and advantages to international investors and asset owners, and I look forward to sharing them with those in my home territories."

With a degree in Finance from EDHEC Business School, Legendre began his career as a junior investment strategist for a Global Private Banking Group in Geneva in 2017. Prior to joining Value Partners, he was a junior global investment strategist for a multi-family office in London. "The role of associate director marks Thomas' second promotion since then," the management company said.
