In a week when most focus was on the resurrection of 19th Century-style gunboat diplomacy off Jersey, there were in fact a couple of key mentions from HM Treasury and the FCA providing further evidence of the divergence ongoing from the EU in the area of funds and financial services regulation. For fund providers outside the country the proof will be in the pudding, that is, how well the UK pivots the regulatory environment to their benefit.
